Our Story

Ashley, the founder of EarthProtein, is a 90’s kid.

Ashley is the founder of Earthprotein, a nuts and seeds based protein laddu brand.

This means she grew up having cashew biscuits without cashews, mango juice without mangoes, and mixed fruit jams without any fruit.

When Ashley got older (and enlightened by the power of the internet), she became an avid label reader and very picky about what she picked up from a supermarket shelf. Soon, she also picked up a pattern across almost all new-age healthy foods…

Okay, I get whey protein shakes and smoothies as meal replacements for weight management and/or meeting daily protein requirements, but what’s with whey ice creams, coffee, snack bars, breakfast mixes? Don’t weigh me down with whey!

The Bad Dream

On one fateful night, Ashley had a dream. She was making upma for her family, and she added Whey protein powder to the upma, because why not? Almost everything else already has whey in it!

The Resolution

Fearing her bad dream could easily become her reality someday, she started EarthProtein — putting seeds at the heart of its nutrition philosophy. Seeds are naturally dense in protein, and micronutrients like magnesium, iron, zinc, and vitamin E — nutrients many modern diets quietly lack. They deliver sustained energy without relying on excess sugar or fillers. Simple ingredients. Functional nutrition.

Ashley believes in the power of whole foods and is a fitness buff.

With a lifetime of sustainable, healthy habits, consistent bedtime, a well-planned, simplified whole-food-based diet, and regular strength training (no protein shakes or supplements), she scored a 13-year age reduction (39%) on her biological age, down from 34 to 20.6 years on a Levine PhenoAge Calculator.

So, Who is This Ashley?

Dr. Ashley Treesa Antony has a PhD in English Literature, the wrong kind of “Dr.” to talk about health and nutrition. So, she keeps her “Dr.” to herself mostly and goes by just “Ashley”!

Ashley has always been a health-focused person who tries to “optimize” her daily life with sustainable, good habits.

Ashley swears by her idea of mindful living, whereby she has built systems into her everyday life for consistency. She sleeps at the same time, wakes up at the same time, and eats similar food in the same time window every day. And Ashley has been doing this for as long as she remembers, with at least 80% consistency!

Ashley believes that consistency and discipline beats intensity!

But snacking was where she always felt defeated.

Most health-conscious people like Ashley have their three main meals sorted, but it’s with the midday snack and 4 pm slump that people make the worst food choices. Ashley solved this problem for herself by making nuts-and-seeds-based laddus in bulk batches and carrying them wherever she went.

Eating nuts and seeds as whole means no portion control and based on how bored you feel during the snack time, you tend to overeat. Laddus help with portion control. Plus, you feel good about treating yourself with laddu, something you often associate with happiness and celebrations.
